Biodiversity Informatics Working Group
IMERSS’ biodiversity informatics program is a collaboration among computer scientists and ecologists working to advance open-source technologies for organizing, analyzing and communicating biological and environmental data. We aim to create accessible and inclusive information tools that support a networked, community-based approach to biodiversity research. Currently we are focused on advancing a biodiversity data paper series documenting the flora and fauna Galiano Island, BC, through which we intend to elaborate the framework for a broader bioregional atlas.
